Amanda Teaching Art!

This is our group project from the first week. It is Starry Night...each kid took a slice of it and blew it up and made their own version and then we put them all together and this is what we got!

Paper weaving- I made a combo of Elvis and some black guys.

Had to teach a small girl how to use pastels. This is my example haha

I decided it would be fun to try playing with some spray paint...so I made a space scene!

And another!

This is my closet of spray paint for me to play with.

Searching through some storage and I found some really cool old frames!

And the ceramics room...look at all the glazes!

2 kilns and a couple of stacked wheels!

My personal wheel. You have to sit in it and push with your feet to spin the wheel!

Just kidding! Here is my real space. How clean! Notice my white bin...filled with my rags, tools, and clay! Located right by the sink for convenience!

A mug? and a sphere that are trimmed and pretty!

My art classroom

My art classroom filled with children! The typical amount per class.

One of the many team posters drawn by team "snails" (the youngest group)

Played a game where you draw one thing and people keep adding to it. Everyone likes snails.

Part of project 1..I had the kids fill out this form and I took pictures of the best ones.  Harrison wants to be a pizza man! I bet you could have read that though.

Alyssa has high hopes for being a young mother!

Sarah wants to be a post woman!

This is Joseph and I just wanted to show you a new way to use scissors! He is cutting out a t-shirt that he will decorate and put on his life size self-portrait.

This is an example of a finished self-portrait.

This is my own version! Staff shirt and all!

Some children liked to do funny poses.

She loves softball! She also used yarn for hair!

An older child's version. I have kids that range from 4-12

Small Asain girl.  I like her drawn shoe and fingernails.  I hope they dont grow up to have image problems because of this!

I would not like to introduce FORREST! In green per usual and spelt with two Rs.

Forrest made his clothes match!

My favorite girl camper: ALLIE...she aspires to be a rock star!

Allie is the girl in tie-dye.  She is very good at tracing!

I told Allie to pose next to her drawing.  Thinking she would lay normal, she decided to be a star with her gut hanging out!

New Dillion story: The glitter glue exploded in his hand and scared him to horrible tears!

Don't worry, it didnt stop him from finishing his string art! In the middle of crying, I asked him to smile and this is what I got, tears and all!
